The State Export Promotion Board (SEPB) was formed in the year of 1996 to encourage and assist potential exporters in small scale sector thus promoting export from within the state. In 1999, the West Bengal Government in the C&SSI Department has converted the SEPB into an autonomous body in the style of West Bengal State Export Promotion Society (WBSEPS).
The West Bengal State Export Promotion Society, working in close collaboration with the Export Promotion Council and Trade Promotion Organizations, establishes contact with the buyers abroad and help in resolving overseas complaints and trade disputes. The Society thus is opening up export avenues for the small sector by building a bridge between Indian Exporters and the Overseas Buyers. |
